Sydney beaches and Bondi are usually mentioned in the one breath as Bondi is the most well-known of Australia's beaches. When you visit Sydney, you must see Bondi, one of the southern Sydney beaches.
The southern beaches of Sydney are a walker's delight, a surfer's playground, and a café lover's utopia. Bondi Beach is best-known for its deep link to the Australian Surf Life Saving movement and is a popular landmark and meeting place for international and local visitors.
Bondi is about a 30-minute ride on a Sydney bus or train from the city and is flanked by beautiful Australian national park and beachside walkways leading you further south towards Coogee Beach - about a 2-hour walk. On the way, you will encounter Tamarama, Bronte and Clovelly beaches.
Coogee is almost as famous as Bondi as far as Sydney beaches go, and you may find it a comparable, yet quieter option to spend your days in the sun.
